1.

Remove the covers from the unit and locate the jumper wire JP-15 next to coil L10. Make a cut across the trace at the junction of capacitor C-28 and JP-15. This will isolate the 10.240 MHZ signal from the receive and transmit mixer circuits.

Solder the expanders white wire to the C-28, JP-15 side of the cut trace. Solder the green wire to the other side of the cut trace.

Solder the expanders red wire to the on-off switch. (+13.8VDC)

Solder the expanders black wire to circuit board ground.

Solder the small 100pf capacitor from the left terminal of coil L6 (three pin side) to the output side of filter FT-1 (R28 side).

Mount the switch into the U shaped hole in the right side of the unit Use foam tape to insulate the circuit board, and slot the plastic cover to fit the switch.
