Remove the covers from the unit and locate the small capacitor next to the coil as shown in the diagram below. solder the kit's White wire to the capacitor (coil side).

Solder the kit's Red wire to the ON/OFF switch (+12VDC). Next, solder the Black wire to circuit board ground.

Solder the remaining Green wire to the center of the Clanfier control (also shown below).

Locate the three tenninals of the Clarifier control and cut the bottom trace as shown in the diagram. Solder a wire from the Cut terminal, to the short jumper wire next to the PLL chip. Solder another wire from the top terminal, to circuit board ground.

Cut the small diode (D25) next to the pot, and remove one end of the other diode (D23) Solder the small RF choke (included in kit in series with diode D23, as shown below.

Note: The varactor diode (included in the kin can be used to replace D23 to make the clarifier tuning range wider. The diode can also be used to replace the VCO diode for a broader channel range. If alignment is a problem, replace D23 with the extra diode, and replace the VCO diode with the original D23 diode.
