Realistic TRC-410
EXPO 100 EXPANDER
MODEL S- or S+
REALISTIC TRC-410
Installation:
1. |
Locate and remove capacitor C73 at pin 12 of the LC7131 PLL chip. |
2. |
Solder the expanders green wire to a 22pf capacitor, and the other leg of the capacitor to pin 12 of the LC7131 IC. |
3. |
Solder the white wire to the ceramic filter CF-3. This is the trace where C66, R109, and C21 connect. |
4. |
Solder the expanders red wire to the + 13.8 VDC at the on-off switch. |
5. |
Solder the black wire to circuit board ground. |
6. |
Solder the small 100 pf capacitor (enclosed) across filter CF-1. This filter has three legs, and the center pin is grounded. The small capacitor should be soldered across the outside pins of CF-1. If a squealing noise is encountered in receive, solder a 1k resistor in series with a 22 pf capacitor, and solder them across filter CF- 1. (leave off the 100 pf capacitor above)
See Uniden PC-33 for details. |
Tuning:
* Adjust coils T1, T2 and T3 for maximum receive on normal, and the extra, frequencies.
Tune for best compromise in receive between both bands for best results.
