Installation:

1. |
Remove the covers from the unit and locate capacitor C13, between coils L4, and L5. Unsolder the side of C13 closest to the left edge of the unit. |

Locate resistor R13, next to the TA7310P IC, and unsolder the side towards the front of the unit. Solder a short jumper wire from the lifted end of R13, to the lifted end of C13. Solder the expanders White wire to the jumper wire. Now, to better understand this, we have lifted two part ends, solder a wire across them, and soldered the White wire to the jumper. |

Solder the small 100 pf capacitor (enclosed), to the center pins of coils L3, and L4. This will be the three pin sides of the coils. |

Solder the expanders Green wire into either one of the holes where C13, or R13, was originate connected. This circuit trace should connect to both holes. |

5. |
Solder the expanders Red wire to the switched (+13.8VDC) side of the ON/OFF switch. |

6. |
Solder the expanders Black wire to circuit board ground. |
Tuning:
* Power up the unit and tune the channel selector to channel 10. While switching the expanders' switch back and forth, tune coils L2, L3, L4, and L5, for the best receive on both sides of the switch. Be careful! in tuning these coils, as not to get the receiver too far out of alignment.
