DX1000V CW Transmitter To AMP Conversion
1. | Remove the top case screws (3) on each side. |
2. | Push in the (3) push
button switches then carefully lift the rear of lid up approx 3/4",
then slide the top towards the rear until the push button switches clear
the front panel. (Use caution not to damage the switches then lay cover upside down on the right hand side) |
3. | Remove yellow cap of oscillator board from the purple wire. |
4. | Solder this purple wire to rear pin of red power switch that has no wires attached to it. |
5. |
Remove red wire of oscillator board and attached 56-ohm 2-watt resistor (green, blue, black) at I5 (#7373 lamp) at front right of control board. |
6. | Remove green wire of oscillator board and attached 33pf cap. |
7. | Solder the leg of the 15pf cap to input trace. |
8. | Remove black wire of oscillator board from keying jack. |
9. | Remove oscillator board. |
10. |
Replace cover carefully
making sure wire harness is in between fan rocker swirch and chassis.
Then over hang the rear of the lid until push button clear front panel. |
